Long handled spoon hand carved with axe and knife from a squiggly laburnum branch, measuring 20.5cm in length.
The profil of the spoon was inspired by the shape of the branch, following the wave of the beatiful dark grain. One of a pair from the same branch.
Worth noting is that laburnum contains cytisine, which is toxic if consumed in large amounts. However, this piece has been carefully dried, treated and sealed with polymerised walnut oil for safe use. Just please don't eat the spoon!
All items shipped within 3-5 working days.
Care for your woodeware:
Do not put in the dishwasher! Wash with warm soapy water, avoid soaking and dry soon after.
Once or twice a year you can oil with walnut, linseed, foodsafe mineral oil or something similar.
With regular use the woodenware will form a patina. This adds to both the strength and character of the utensil.
